Located in the Barts Square Development in London, Butchers Hall was originally built in the sixties, and is the spiritual home of the Worshipful Company of Butchers. The refurbishment project involved a partial demolition, roof extension, formation of a new structural steel core, the creation of additional work space and a comprehensive fit out to bring new life and new opportunity to the commercial building.
The focus of the refurbishment centred around improving the building’s circulation and internal spaces to suit modern uses. This included the insertion of a new multi-lift core and a two-storey roof extension. The majority of the building’s internal spaces were renovated, including the Great Hall, court rooms and other supporting functions.
The significant works undertaken enabled the hall to become a versatile, modern destination capable of hosting a variety of events, which include full-scale conferences, weddings, and business meetings. We were appointed as the Quantity Surveyor, undertaking Cost and Procurement Management to ensure the project was delivered to budget.
